The Fellowship of the Outdoors is a not-for-profit, interdenominational organization which exists for the purpose of helping individuals to know and better understand the Bible (The Word of God) and lead others to Salvation through Jesus Christ. The Bible makes it clear that, as Creator, God has been and continues to be involved in every part of our daily lives. Paul said relating to Jesus Christ, “Christ is the one through whom God created everything in heaven and earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see--kings, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities. Everything has been created through him and for him. He existed before everything else began, and he holds all creation together.” (Colossians 1:16-17) NLT. With this in mind, the Fellowship of the Outdoors desires to help all outdoorsmen, women, and young people more fully realize the Creator's spirit. We believe that such an awareness of God will ultimately be positive to society as a whole.

The Fellowship of the Outdoors Chapters have been established. Local Chapters are given the flexibility to tailor their events and activities to appeal to the various interests within their own area. Some of these activities include: Hunting events, game dinners, archery tournaments, youth hunts, fishing derbies, big game award contests, campouts, canoe trips, hunter education classes, trap shoots, food drives, blood drives, and even more.

The Fellowship of the Outdoors Chapters are encouraged to promote activities that include hunting principles and family involvement. True Christian fellowship for families!

We all love the outdoors or we would not be hunters, fishermen, and just outdoors people! Outdoors people should more than anyone else see what the Lord has given us. We need to be thankful, but we also have a responsibility to give something back.

OUR GOALS

The Fellowship of the Outdoors seeks to fulfill their purpose for existence by means of:

Sharing the love and joy that knowing Jesus Christ gives!

Reaching out to the lost with hope and love!

Ministering to and helping those in need!

Showing others that Jesus is our only hope of salvation!

Working constantly to win souls for Christ!

To represent the Lord in our everyday and outdoor lives!

To “Share the Word in the Woods!"

Fellowship with other believers and have fun!

Starting the Journey

This pamphlet is written for people who want to know God better. You may not know God yet in a personal way through his son Jesus. You may think of yourself as a Christian because your parents took you to Church, or because you’ve taken part in church activities, but those good experiences haven’t brought you close to God.

All of us were made for fellowship with our Creator! But long ago, in the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve disobeyed the Lord and their relationship with Him was broken. Every person since then has experienced the consequences of their sin and guilt. The Bible tells us that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

The good news is that “God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). Our responsibility is to receive the gift of forgiveness and accept Him as our Savior and Lord.

If you want to take that step, you can go to Jesus in prayer and begin an eternal relationship with him. Repeat this prayer;

Jesus, I admit that I am a sinner. Thank You for dying on the cross to pay the penalty for my sin. I now receive You as my Savior and Lord. Take my life and make me the kind of person You want me to be. Amen

Did you pray that prayer? If you did, you have the assurance that you are forgiven and accepted by God. The apostle John wrote, “These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know you have eternal life” (1 John 5:13).Your time talking to Jesus will now take on new meaning; he looks forward to spending prayer time with you!
